Spain Tour: Barcelona — Madrid — Toledo — Valencia — Barcelona
Explore Spain’s major cities on this immersive tour, where you will delve into the country’s architecture, culture, and traditions. In each city, a seasoned guide, who has lived in the area for years and knows its hidden treasures, will be your welcoming host. Upon your arrival in each city, your guide will meet you at the train station and lead you on a walking or car tour. They will also handle ticket purchases for museums, recommend non-touristy restaurants, and provide tips on making the most of your free time.
All you need to do is purchase train tickets through the recommended links and book your hotels. We will handle the organization of your tourist itinerary.
The tour spans seven days: three in Barcelona, two in Madrid and Toledo, and two in Valencia.
Barcelona
Day one kicks off with a panoramic tour of Barcelona’s top attractions, including Paseo de Gracia, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà, Park Güell, Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Plaza de España, and Montjuïc Mountain. In the evening, immerse yourself in the beauty of the singing fountains and experience the energy of passionate flamenco dancing.
On day two, head to Montserrat Mountain to visit the Benedictine Monastery and witness the Black Madonna of Montserrat while listening to the boys’ choir.
Day three takes you to the Salvador Dalí Museum in Figueres, an excursion that promises to leave you with lasting impressions, regardless of your familiarity with the artist. You can also combine this visit with a trip to Girona or Empuriabrava.
Madrid
On day four, a quick 2.5-hour journey covering 600 km will transport you to the heart of Madrid. Your guide will introduce you to the world-renowned Prado Museum, Columbus Square, Paseo del Prado Boulevard, Neptune Fountain, and the Temple of Debod. If you’re interested, you can also opt to attend a bullfight.
Toledo
Day five brings you to the former capital of Spain, where you will enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic old town and the Jewish quarter.
Valencia
On day six, explore the historic center of Valencia, where you will enter the cathedral to see a replica of the Holy Grail. Then, visit the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, designed by Santiago Calatrava, which houses an aquarium, planetarium, and winter garden.
Day seven is reserved for planning your return to Barcelona. You will return with beautiful photographs, having savored authentic paella and sangria, witnessed Spanish flamenco, and heard captivating stories of Gaudi, Dalí, Picasso, and Calatrava. You will gain insights into ancient and modern Spain and its warm, welcoming people.
